Agent Louisiana
Codename—Agent Louisiana; Foxtrot 13; "Hecate" during her time in the Titan Initiative (see Backstory), which has spawned the nicknames "Catie" as well as the less-flattering "Hex".
Real Name—PC Princeton
Birthdate—September 20, 2532
Appearance--
Physical:
Blue-green eyes. Natural medium brown hair with that vague not-curly-not-straight hair type. Pale skin with lots of freckles across her nose and cheeks. One long, thick scar spans her left hand, from just below her index finger to just above her wrist; one small scar on the left side of her bottom lip; and a couple thin scars on her back from a knife-fight. 5'4 " and made more for speed and agility than for strength. Has a special attachment to her dogtags and wears a thick signet ring on her right index finger with her armor emblem on it: a "Valkyria" with a Black sword and White wings, and a Gold Crown as the background.
Armor:
Primary and secondary colors are silver, with a dark purple detail. Mark VI helmet; CQB chest piece and shoulders.
Backstory—As the combined pressure of the Human-Covenant War, as well as the Insurrection, continued to mount, several Special Operations programs were developed. Most notable of these were the Spartan Programs and Project Freelancer; however another, less successful program was the Titan Initiative. Co-directed by Dr. Sebastian Crichton, a genetic engineer in the employ of the UNSC, and Nannette Essex, a psychoanalyst on loan to the UNSC, the Initiative was eventually designated a failure and ordered to be redacted.
Miss Princeton was one of the unlucky few to survive the conditioning that Initiative subjects (codenamed "Titans") underwent. Genetically altered for optimum efficiency, "Titans" were subjected to various physical and mental experiments to "prepare" them for field-deployment. Chosen from infancy due to their parents' unstable backgrounds (though PC was volunteered by her mother when she found she was pregnant), "Titans" were trained to be the ultimate killing machines. It didn't exactly go down that way, though.
Very early on, the younger subjects (including PC) displayed varying degrees of individuality and independent thought that concerned the group that preceded the UNSC Oversight Sub-Committee. However, the problems were ultimately left in the hands of the co-directors of the Initiative. These problems, which grew steadily—from the occasional bout of independence on the battlefield to outright insubordination—as time progressed, came to a head in November of 2546 when a handful of agents uncovered evidence that Crichton was in league with the Insurrection and confronted him about it. After the ensuing altercation, during which it was revealed that several of the older agents were aware of Crichton's dealings with the Insurrectionists, the UNSC stepped in, in an attempt to correct their mistake. Two agents (including PC's partner) were killed during the fighting, and Crichton and those loyal to him vanished underground. At a loss as to what to do, the remaining Titans were given the choice to remain in the service of the UNSC or be honorably discharged. PC, as well as many others, were tired of military life and opted for integrating themselves into the civilian population.
Miss Princeton was asked (read: put between a rock and a hard place to make her decide) to join Project Freelancer by the Director himself in the beginning of December, 2550. She agreed, not only because of the aforementioned tough decision, but because Director Church delivered some information to Miss Princeton that would have made her reenlist, regardless. She agreed to become Agent Louisiana for what she hoped would be a short time, because she had first-hand knowledge and expertise when it came to dealing with a rival of the Director's, Crichton, who was rumored to have come out of hiding. Director Church and Louisiana agreed that they would part ways with no hard feelings (read: neither would try to kill the other) when she took down Crichton and his operatives, or died trying.
Personality— Louisiana is often described as snarky, when a person is being kind, and blatantly disrespectful, when they're being honest. She has a hard time accepting that a person has authority over her without an immediate, negative consequence that she knows will occur if she doesn't; or, at the very least, a period of quasi-hazing. Agent Louisiana will admit to being irritable but maintains that it is because she is short and everyone around her is stupid. She doesn't really think so, though. Louisiana has the ability to demonstrate an incredible amount of respect and loyalty to comrades and superiors alike; she just has some serious trust issues and often requires a large amount of evidence to prove that a person deserves it. She has a short-temper but manages to keep it in check by making inappropriate comments, cursing gratuitously, and generally pissing people off and/or making them uncomfortable.
Talents—When it comes to fighting, Louisiana is rather good at hand-to-hand and general close-quarters combat. She doesn't have any particular style other than get-it-done, though she draws from Krav Maga and has a love of no-rules street-fighting. However, she did learn Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and uses it sometimes when she wants to check her control, is bored, or just wants to show off. But, when the chips are down, she'll go with whatever works and gets her out of the undesirable situation. Well aware that she is built more for speed and agility, rather than strength, she has no qualms resorting to underhanded tactics and undignified means to win, however, she draws the line at sabotage or anything equally dirty. She will, however: bite, kick, scratch, pull hair, insult mothers, and generally fluster people.
Other than that, she's relatively quick-witted and usually has some kind of comment to be muttered, comeback to be made, or insult to be thrown.
In the few years before the Director tracked her down, Louisiana was a con-artist and a thief who specialized in long-cons and had a halfway decent understanding of safe-cracking, a functioning knowledge of lock-picking, and an unfortunate habit of pick-pocketing.
Armor Ability—One word: pyrotechnics. On the lower back portion of her armor, there are two separate cylinders, about the length and width of her forearm, secured onto (but removable from) her armor. Each one is filled with a different fluid that, when combined, combust. When activated, the two fluids are propelled through a tube (one for each fluid) that connects to and is expelled from the endpoint at the wearer's right wrist, and when they mix, they produce rather explosive results that shoot about 15 feet. Short bursts (like, 3 to 5 seconds) are recommended, however, longer use is possible.
Weaponry—Like all Freelancers, Louisiana can use pretty much any weapon you shove in her hands, but that doesn't mean she'll like it. Actually, if you shoved a weapon in her hands and told her to use it, she'd probably have a few choice swear-words and a mild-to-moderate concussion for you. However, she can use a sniper rifle when she needs to, and usually just uses her DMR, Jackson. Yes, she named her gun. Yes, it's weird. No, I would not suggest you make some kind of comment about it while she can hear you.
Weak-points—As previously mentioned, Louisiana isn't exactly the best when it comes to being a good little soldier. You give her an order and she'll likely pester you until you tell her why, or just ignore you. It's kind of a fifty-fifty deal that depends on her mood. So, yeah, not good at following orders or holding her tongue.
She also has kind of a problem with fully-automatic guns, like assault rifles. Remember when we said that she could use any weapon, even though she won't be happy about it? Yeah, that's magnified to the Nth degree with automatics because her partner in the Initiative, Rio, was killed by an assault rifle and the sound tends to make her jumpy. Nobody ever said that she wasn't damaged, not even her.
The thing that really confuses people though, is that she's kind of a bad liar. Not when it really matters or anything, like during a con or a mission, but when she's explaining why she missed training or why all of the Counselor's office furniture was turned upside-down? Yeah, don't expect to be getting a good story out of her about that.
